About Us

The harvest is truly plenteous but the labourers are few. The Lord of the Harvest has commissioned Christ’s Mercy Gate Evangelical Ministries to harvest the fields for him. We are to seek lost souls for salvation and training for the harvest fields.

Pastor TAIWO AYOOLA ANTHONY AHMED is the Founder of Christ Mercy-Gate Evangelical Ministries, a growing and living evangelical church with headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria.
A prolific writer, attended Lagos City Council Primary School in Lagos and Secondary school education was at Isonyin Grammar School in Ogun state. Proceeded abroad for B.Sc, M.Sc, and PhD programs at Howard University in Washington, D.C. USA and University of Maryland College Campus (UMCP) in Maryland, U.S.A. where he studied civil engineering.

Was formerly a full time lecturer at University of Lagos, Akoka upon returning to Nigeria. Baptized at Ager Road United Methodist Church in Hyattsville, Maryland in 1974 and have since been involved in ministry work as writer, teacher, missionary, and Pastor both in the U.S. and Nigeria. Married to Pastor (Mrs) Esther O. Ahmed and bless  by God with wonderful children.

Pastor (Mrs.) Esther Omotayo Ahmed is the co-founder of Christ Mercy-Gate Evangelical Ministries, a growing and living evangelical church with headquarters in Lagos. She had her primary school education at Ireti Girls Primary School in Falomo, Lagos and her Secondary School education at Egbado High School in Igbogila-Ilaro, Ogun State. Her University education was at Howard University in Washington D.C., USA and majored in Botany and Zoology. She was a teacher at Awori Comprehensive High School at Ipaja after which she went into private business of her own.
Baptized at Gospel Pentecostal Assembly in 1993 and has since moved on putting over twenty years work in the vineyard of the Lord. She is married to Pastor Taiwo A. Ahmed and God has blessed them with many wonderful children.
